Peek inside a 1977 Airstream and admire its furnishings – the kitchen’s a gem

Charleston, South Carolina, is famous for its historic charm, incredible food scene, and breathtaking streets draped in Spanish moss. Often ranked among the top food and wine destinations in the country, it’s a must-visit city for anyone who loves culture, cuisine, and coastal beauty. When you’re not wandering through streets lined with beautifully preserved historic homes and classic Southern architecture, you can spend your days relaxing on palm-lined beaches just a short drive away. And for a truly unforgettable stay, there’s a beautifully renovated 1977 Airstream waiting to be your home away from home.

This vintage Airstream, lovingly named Alice, is available to rent on Airbnb and has recently undergone a stunning renovation that blends modern comfort with eco-friendly design. Located in West Ashley, one of Charleston’s most character-filled neighborhoods, Alice is surrounded by homes dating back to the 1920s through the 1950s, adding even more charm to the experience. Best of all, the location is ideal—just five miles from downtown Charleston and about 11 miles from the beach, making it the perfect base for enjoying everything the area has to offer.

Designed for two guests, Alice feels surprisingly open and comfortable inside. The thoughtful layout makes it easy to move around without feeling cramped, and the interior has been carefully styled to create a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. At the heart of the space are two soft twin-sized beds, each topped with fresh, luxurious linens, giving guests a restful and relaxing place to unwind after a day of exploring Charleston.

Two people will feel completely at home in Alice. The Airstream is very open, making it easy to move around without bumping into one another. Here you see the two soft, twin-sized beds — each topped with fresh, lux linens.

The kitchen features a microwave, small fridge and Keurig coffee pot. The host makes sure to provide you with fruit, yogurt and protein bars for a quick breakfast before hitting the town.

We love how much storage space there is in Alice. Kick back and watch some TV, or enjoy one of the many books on the history of Charleston located throughout the camper.
